Kenny Rogers Concert

Post by transfer2BGSU »

Nice concert. Kenny can still sing, but man was he having some troubles walking.

Wish the crowd would have been larger, but thought it was decent. Floor was almost filled to capacity (might have been full).

Saw Factman (with his better half 8-) ) in the second row!

Didn't realize that I knew all three of Billy Deans' hits.

Really enjoyed the video for "The Gambler". But did he purposely leave out the second stanza from "Coward of the County"?

Now to bring in George - Jones or Strait either one. It doesn't matter!

My first month at UT Kenny Rogers played the UT Field House. That was 1971. Not surprised he can't walk.

.......and I saw transfer and he was sitting in my men's basketball seat!

I too, enjoyed the show, but .....................if the department was the promoter, I fear it was a losing cause, as far as $$$ go. I'd guess maybe 2-3 thousand in attendance.

He was in town 2 years ago. I don't know why they brought him back, but I really didn't expect that large of a crowd. As soon as the concert was announced, it lost money.
