Andy Schleck vaulted from 2nd place to being declared the winner last month when Alberto Contador lost his winner status do to a failed doping test. Contador is banned from racing until August this year. Bittersweet victory since he was not able to wear the Maillit Jaune on the podium.
In other cycling news, Stage 1 of the 8 stage Paris-Nice race was won by Gustav Larsson. One second back is Bradley Wiggins, followed by 2 Americans, Levi Leipheimer 4 seconds, and T. Van Garderen 9 seconds back.
If BGSU had bright orange cycling jerseys, I would buy one. I could proudly show off my alma mater, and have a safe, easily visable jersey. I have never seem one when looking at the selection of apparel online.

Leipheimer got a break running before the downpour and nobody could have predicted Van Garderen's run. Nice start for the U.S. in a short time trail. Spent the weekend with my niece who is going to Paris in a month- we were joking about her being the focus of the Nice to Paris race. Sle at all.he is hoping to date Andy Schleck when she gets there.
