Now that is a smart Falcon!

Post by MarkL »

Alex Wright, BGSU alum and former Freddie Falcon won Jeopardy tonight and thus will be on again tomorrow. How cool that?

Will definitely be watching tomorrow now. How do you know he was a former Freddie? He must've mentioned it to Trebek during the timeout in the Jeopardy round.

He not only mentioned that, but also that his wife was a former Freda Falcon at BGSU. Won $25,000 plus last night. Grandpa Stroh has to be very proud.

He was wearing those big orange Freddie shoes!

Falconfan1 wears his a couple of size smaller than Alex. \:D/

He was Freddie during my freshmen year, we liked to refer to him as tall Freddie, a moniker our own Terry Streetman gained the year he was Freddie as well

Alex was beaten at the final Jeopardy question...got it right, but didn't bet enough to win...still, 27K over 2 days isn't a bad haul.

It really hurt him not getting any of the double-jeopardy questions (or whatever you call the ones where you get to wager on them). The winner got 2 of them and I think that was the difference.

"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."
