According to the Sentinel, this is the 8th BG student to pass away!! Wow...

(Updated at 8:01 p.m. 4-26) Bowling Green Police say the body of a 20-year-old Bowling Green State University student was found in an apartment at 602 Second St. this evening.

The Wood County SRT made entry to the apartment at 6:50 p.m. and found the body of Kayleigh R. Chambers. BGSU has confirmed Chambers is a freshman from Delta.

BG Police received a check the welfare call at 4:35 p.m.

Lt. Bradley Biller of the BGPD said police and the SRT made several attempts to contact the woman but got no response.

Biller said the incident is under investigation as a death by BGPD and the Wood County Coroner's Office.

No one else was in the apartment.

Biller said next of kin in Delta have been notified.

Biller said the person who called indicated Chambers had made threats to harm herself.

Police blocked off nearby Manville Avenue to help secure the area. There are numerous apartment buildings in the area. Dozens of residents watched from sidewalks and parking lots.

At least eight BGSU students have died this academic year.
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

From the story in the Sentinel Tribune it appears that her boyfriend may have been the reason. He was the one that made the 911 call. The boyfriend was arrested on Monday and is being held in jail on drug charges. It wasnt clear if he was in jail when he made the 911 call or is he was released and made the call from home. Regardless a very sad story.
