iPad Repair

Post by pdt1081 »

Had a slight mishap with an iPad. Anybody have a suggestion for getting it repaired? The screen is cracked.

Where are you at? There's an Apple place up near Franklin Park Mall.

Wauseon-BG area. Radio Shack said through them it cost $200. Thought that was a little much.

I would imagine you're going to be close to that $200 figure any place that does the work for you.

If it were me I'd go to an apple store to have them look at it. There's one in Easton (Columbus), and also in the mall at Novi.

I used to repair iPhones and iPods using iFixIt - if you're handy, it's usually pretty easy. Just be careful in buying your parts. Get them through a reputable website (not on ebay/amazon). On iPhone LCD screens, i found about a 10% failure rate due to a crappy part.

Tried the diy and the screen ended up not sticking down. Any ideas?
