2 time Jeopardy champ BGSU prof!
Bill Albertini, a respected BGSU English professor, won his second Jeopardy game tonight. Congrats to Bill Albertini! And interestingly enough, he won in a tie.

How do you "win" in a tie? But glad to see it. Oddly enough, I usually wach the show faithfully, but I've missed these last 2 shows.

Very odd wager in final jeopardy for the prof. He had the lead and could have bet another dollar to ensure a solo victory. Doing so would have not been anymore of a gamble than what he took, so I'm not sure I see his logic there.
Unless maybe he wanted to bring the lady along figuring he could easily beat her tomorrow? Dunno, weird. Still, cool to see a BG professor doing well on the show.

She was pretty tough, don't know why he didn't bet the extra dollar or more.
I just hope he keeps winning until one of his little interview stories drops a BG reference.

For those of you who do not know Dr. Albertini, he is an ENGLISH professor - not Math.hammb wrote:Very odd wager in final jeopardy for the prof. I think the tie was a classy move. What is the benefit in beating her instead of a tie? The only personal benefit in an outright win is he will not have to go up against someone he tied again and would instead go up against a couple of new competitors. Opening the door to a tie means that the person who tied has an opportunity to win more money. I call it a classy, classy move.

That is true mark, but I thought she was a pretty good player. I'd want her home if I were the good prof.
Either way a win is a win. And that was the easiest final jeopardy question ever. And that from somebody who usually claims all bible questions are culturally biased.

Classy? Meh. Play to win it all.
As I've gotten older, I've noticed Final Jeopardy questions seem to be increasingly obvious, but the category is what gets contestants thinking about if they really might know the answer. I'd be cautious betting too much on "The Bible," but yeah, last night was pretty simple.

And the prof got taken to school tonight. And even though she lost by getting the final question wrong (the prof was the only one to get it right but was way out of it) again the winner made am asinine wager on final jeopardy to give her a shot to move forward. It was a runaway game and the winner bet enough that had the girl doubled up she would have tied again.
I don't understand it. Jokingly assumed she must be giving them favors during commercial breaks.

Watching again tonight, I remembered why I really wanted her to lose last night.
