Thanks, PGY, thanks a lot. I waste perfectly good work time on this research and you dismiss it with that single post.

Thanks.

Hey, what can I do, I'm just trying to help you out by making sure you can get some work done and not feel like you need to find more football data.

After Lovett was hired, a Google search turned up an article with an interesting antedote.

Clemson's offense struggled badly in 2004, ranking somewhere in the 100's nationally. When Mike O'Cain (the OC) was told of his firing, he was disappointed but realized that it was part of the business. He then went on to say that he was absoletely shocked that Coach Lovett was also fired considering the defense hadn't been the problem and had basically bailed out the offense multiple times that season to salvage a couple victories.

I tried to locate the article again but the I think the link expired. Needless to say, given this tidbit and the statistics already cited, we have a fine, BCS-caliber coordinator in Coach Lovett.

I like your enthusiasm, here but uhhh wait until next season! I don't see us winning more than three games with the schedule we have. We have numerous new additions to the team and their going to get smacked in the mouth and then, the moral falls off the planet without Omar (even if he was here, he didn't show up nationally). I hate that other MAC teams are making moves to other conferences! Our program will just falter and deminish over time because we're static with our thinking. THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX! Make some changes other than a friggen logo that we don't even use, not to mention, it's not that great anyhow.

How does that phrase go? "Full of sound and fury, signifying nothing?"

I'm still trying to figure out what your deal is.

I'm just wondering what the morale of the story is. . ..

Anyone know why Lovett went to Lousiana Tech after getting fired by Clemson, then moved to BG in January before getting started at Louisiana Tech? Hard to believe it was for money or prestige. It's also interesting to note that Lousiana Tech and BG are noted for their high scoring offenses. Hmmmmm......
