To the Freak

Post by Spart43 »

Hey Freak,
I send a private message to you, but couldn't tell if you got it or not. I wanted to get this picture to you.

Image

Let me know if you got the message as I am not sure I sent it correctly. I have a higher resolution of this picture but photobucket limits what I can put up there. So if you want that version send me an email address.

Interesting thing, Corey mentioned that the team had a red-shirt freshman kicker, Nick Goss. I haven't heard anyone talking about him. Corey said he looked pretty good in practice. Have you heard anything?

Sounds like you had a Great Falcon Holiday!

All I could find on Goss (with a quick Googling) was a quick line on an OSU board about BG lineman Phillip Pollard.

(Post #11 is about Goss:

"#14 Kicker Nick Goss booted three or four back through the endzone, kicks were low but hard, real good leg."

See? Now you don't even have to click to that site!!! Unless you wanted to read year and a half old news about Pollard. )

Thanks a ton, Spart! I love that photo!!! I remember that mask Jake was wearing managed to bring a few smiles to the players after that loss to Akron. Ugh.

I read about Nick Goss on the bgsu website a few months back. If Corey says he's doing well, that is good news. Let's see what he can do!

I hope you and Corey had a great Falcon holiday as well.
Thanks again and GO FALCONS!

LOL!! I gotta stop wearing those things. Coach Dakich asked me the same thing at the Akron game. "So what did you have to do to get those beads???"

I'd think you'd be more comfortable about that than if he had given them to her...

Not sure anyone is interested anymore, but for what it's worth, both Goss and Pollard went to my H.S.
Goss is a good kid and a decent kicker, with some work I think he can give us some power and confidence in the kicking game next season. I remember seeing him kick a few times at games in HS and being fairly impressed. He's no Suisham (yet), but I think he shows a lot of potential.
As for Pollard, I don't know much about his ability aside from the fact that he is rather formidable in size. Off the field he's not much to get excited about, unless his personality has changed greatly in the 2 years since I've seen him. Fortunately, I don't care how friendly he is off the field as long as he can get the job done in the games.
Just thought I'd share that.
