I think our talent level is probably in the 40-75 range of overall college teams.
I'm a little more negative with the talent level, compared to the other I-A teams. Sure, BG compared to the MAC has decent talent level. But to the rest of I-A? Not very good. Of the 119 or so teams, BG is ahead of the following teams:
Buffalo
Kent
N Texas
Utah St
New Mexico St
Florida Atlantic
Temple
Ohio
Eastern Michigan
Central Michigan
Ball St
Arkansas St
Army
Navy
Air Force
Western Michigan
Akron
LA-Monroe
San Jose St
Fla International
Idaho
Middle Tenn. St.
Duke
That would put them in the area of around 95th. There are probably a few more teams, but BG is not even close to 40th in talent level.

That's why it's a range. It's a real tough thing to quantify so that's just my educated guess/opinion. We've put up more points and yards on some tough defenses than most schools in their own conferences did. That's the main basis for my opinion.
Yeah, I'm not really concerning myself with defensive talent, since we were talking about Omar. I think we're probably somewhere around 40th in offensive, but that's purely a guess...I'm not taking the time to look around the country.
