It would have been nice if Krebs was leaving on a high note.

Also, the year is not done and we all have high expectations for Softball and Baseball.

Let's at least wait until the end of the year before we breakdown the overall success/failure of BGSU athletics.
Thank you for adding the Women's Soccer MAC Regular season and Tourney titles! It was the best season in the short history of women's soccer at BGSU.

AD Krebs did a great job. Look at where we were before him and where we are now. MAJOR DIFFERENCE!!! Good luck AD Krebs!!! New Mexico made a great choice. Maybe that can be our 5th home football opponent.

That would be awesome to have New Mexico come to the Doyt. Maybe it could be one of those early season midweek games.

Honestly though, even if we end up with a road game against Temple (which I think is the most likely scenario given the home football price release last week) how bad is that? We get to beat up on them again.

Dear Abbey,
Following the poor ending to a great Lady Falcon basketball season I can't help but reflect on such a disappointing year in Falcon Sports. The high hopes we had for football, the disasterous state of affairs in mens hoops, the lack of a turnaround that was expected in men's hockey and the first round NCAA knockout today leave me, well, veklempt.
Congrats to an undefeated MAC season for the Lady Falcons, but they were expected to reach the tourney this year, and unfortunately beaten very handily by the Bruins. Someone cheer me up and tell me that this Omar departure to the NFL is just a nightmare, because I don't see good things on the horizon.
Sincerely,

And you guys call me defeatest and pessamistec. :? Frankly what it looks like from where I sit is a complete dominence from the falcon women's teams (soccer, softball, b-ball, others?) and rather poor or subpar performance by the mens teams (hockey, b-ball , football). BG athletics as a whole isnt terrible just very dissappointing in the sports that most of us follow and great things in the sports that most of us don't watch or follow much. It truley has been the year of the falcon women this year.

If your just looking at the mens teams then I would see that most of us would be a little down and worried, but if your a womens sports fan , than things have never looked more up.I would hope that we can soon get both the men & women's teams doing great.

Zulu, if I were Paul Krebs I'd kick you squarely in the nuts....

I guess it's fortunate for me Flipper that Paul Krebs has class.

Also, anyone, can nuts be kicked squarely?

Zulu -- Michelle and I were at the BG game against UCLA and would not say we were beaten handily. The final score was 74-61 and basically just came down to a bad stretch in the first half when we went cold. We shot 30% from the field in the first half and UCLA shot 57%. It wasn't really a case of being overmatched IMHO as we were missing shots that we've made all season. We were down by fourteen at the half and basically played them even in the second half. I really believe we are just another player or two from winning a game or two in the NCAA tournament. I can't really speak for the other winter sports, although I would say that with men's basketball, as one poster said, there's nowhere to go but up there. As for hockey, be patient with Coach Paluch. He has been bringing in some pretty solid recruiting classes and I think Falcon Hockey will be fine. I also think we'll be fine in football. If you read about the recruiting class, Coach Brandon and his staff really brought in some great recruits and I think we'll be a strong contender for the East Division Title and a trip to the MAC Title Game. The women's fall sports are fine, and we still have baseball and softball ... keep your chin up! :D

Every BG football fan should be thanking Paul Krebs. Let's not forget who made the hire that brought this storied program back to life. By him bringing in Urban Meyer he resurrected football at Bowling Green. Also he listened to all the players when they asked him specifically to hire Gregg Brandon. Attendance is up, enrollment is up...it's a good time for Krebs to move on, there is not much left for him to do here.

Women's sports seem to be at an all time high. With the soccer team and basketball teams winning MAC titles, how sweet would it be if the softball team, preseason pick to win the east, brought home a championship. It'd be a clean sweep in my book.

Good luck Paul Krebs, good athletic director, great person. Thank you.
