Come see the Band tomorrow

Post by bgmaggot00 »

Hey, for any of you that want some indoor, dry fun before the game tomorrow, stop on by the field house at 2 PM to see the Falcon Marching Band, and Alumni band play a concert for about an hour. After they're done playing, the band will march from the field house to the Doyt.

OK, I know about the band forum, but I wanted to put this up here in hopes that some of you guys will see the post too and come to support the band. Have fun, and Go Falcons! Jeff

Come see the band

Post by mualum78 »

Hi-
Any chance they will do this before the WMU game on the 6th as well? I'm coming up from Cinci to see that game with some BG friends of mine. I saw the band at halftime of the Bengals/Ravens game a few weeks ago and I thought they were great! Would love to see them perform again. Thanks.

I'm pretty sure the band does it before every home football game. The band always puts on a good show, no matter where they play! :)

That would be correct! It's just that since we have it in the field house not too many people besides parents show up because it's so far form the stadium and no one wants to leave their tailgates. I'd love it if more people came though :P

Let me give my compliments to the band. This is the absolute best I ever seen and heard our band--no offense to band alumni on this board, but I just think both band shows have been first rate this year. Loved the swing at the end (my eight year old picked it out as being from "the Emporer's New Groove." Great job, keep it up.

The band did rock!!! My roommate is in the FMB and after halftime when the band was standing there we kept yelling her name and telling her we loved her...it got her to smile! :D

Pregame rocked too. I loved Birdland...it made me think of my high school jazz band days...

Dang...I SOOOO want to be a member of the drumline after Sing, Sing, Sing. Yeah the six drum sets were cool, but it was what was going on behind them that was even better.

Holy moly -- that looks like it's gotta be a blast. Well done!

They definitely are an entertaining group! I will admit, sometimes they go a little overboard in practices but it's all good in the end. If I could play the drums, I'd probably switch!!!
