Eligible Falcon Draft rankings

Post by dduncan »

Per ESPN and scout, inc..the following BG football players are ranked accordingly:

Omar Jacobs: Overall 68th, 4th QB
PJ Pope: 42nd RB
Charles Sharon: 102nd WR
Rob Warren: 60th OT
Mike Thaler: 82nd DT
Terrill Mayberry: 101st CB
Teddy Piepkow: 108th OLB
Jelani Jordan: 110th CB
Steve Sanders: 119th WR

Both Pope and Sharon rank as 'Borderline Draft Prospect', the rest rank as Free Agent Prospects.

Honestly, I think I'd eat a bug if anyone but Jacobs were drafted. I think most will get UDFA invites, though.

If PJ is running a 4.46 40 in private workouts...he might get drafted. I'd love to see him in Detroit.

Why would you want PJ to have to put up with that? =;

sports cliche here, If PJ is either drafted or signed by the right team, there is a slight chance he could stick. The only way is if he can contribute as a special teamer. He has good size and speed. Is he willing to throw his body around on punt/kick returns? Can he tackle?

Well, we all know he spent time as an upback on the kick return team. :evil:

Also, he was one of the best blocking backs I've seen in college. Not afraid to take on linemen and handled them as well as a back could be expected to handle 'em.

If Omar goes in the 4th round, I wonder if Im_Full will come back and tell us about is trek over glass to the city that drafts Omar?
