I especially like to see the various letter jackets on display and was pleased to see an AKRON HOBAN jacket with the player's name "Glaser". Upon reading the article in the PD on the Hoban game where Tyrell Sutton broke the all-time Ohio rushing record, a quote was attributed to Tackle Shawn Glaser, a 6-8, 305 lb Senior.... While the kid didn't appear quite that big in street clothes, I was happy to see we're again recruiting kids from traditional strong programs.
Only one possible complaint, and it's already been addressed by the attendance thread.... would our lack of a crowd "turn off" recruits from major hs programs who already play in front of some pretty large crowds? Iggy and St. Ed's, for example, played Sat. Nite in front of 13,100 at Parma's Byers Field.
I wonder which game becomes our "premiere" recruiting game? I would think it would be the Marshall game this year, because of the quality of the opponent, as opposed to just blasting a team like BSU on Saturday.
Anyone else have thoughts on this issue?
