great news!

I am scheduled to get my tonsils removed on the 1st, so I will not be attending the game. Watching on TV will help with my recovery.

Tonsils/ who needs tonsils?

Post by Class of 61 »

Major,
Just a little "thank you" for my farewell comments you were kind enough to deliver! It was so kind of you to remember me as I was getting ready to leave.... such thoughtfulness!!
Seriously, Mitch, hope the tonsil thing go (out) well with minimal hassle...wouldn't want to miss your next "gift". Of course, the "lubricant" you were using helped, I suppose.

Looking ahead, I wouldn't be surprised to see the Marshall game get picked up as game of the week for Nov. 13 and moved up to noon. Here's the slate for that day:

November 13 (Saturday)
*Central Michigan at Buffalo, 1:30
*Miami at Western Michigan, 2:00
*Eastern Michigan at Kent State, 4:00
*Marshall at Bowling Green, 4:00
*UCF at Ball State, 4:00
*Akron at Ohio, tba

My only hope would be that maybe ESPN would pick up the game before Fox Sports and keep the later kickoff time.

Judging from that lineup, I wouldn't be surprised to see ESPN's Bottom 10 pick a MAC game as the Pillowfight of the Week. Leading contenders: University of Central Futility AT Testicle Tech and the Chips at Buffalo

Yeah, the lineup that day is definitely not very appealing. That's why I would be surprised if we don't end up as the game of the week again. I don't see how they (whoever "they" are) could possibly pick one of those other games. Nor would I want them to, actually--if we're going to expose MAC football to a television audience, let's not show a game that would embarrass the conference.

Obi Wan Ben Folds? Where does UAO find them, and why do they keep getting money to book them?
