This is a good time to live only 40-45 minutes from downtown Cleveland. If anyone has trouble finding lodging, I'm sure Mrs. Freak and I can help out and have a few stay at the Nest. We'll party the night before the game, get up to the tailgate early, stay after the game for a while and then come home and party some more. :-D :smt109

I know there was a hotel discussion thread a while ago, but I missed it. Someone remind me where the best hotel to stay close to the stadium & House of Blues thing is going to be. Of course, I am a snob, so don't tell me the Motel 6 or anything. :-)

So...just to clarify...you plan on partying that weekend? :-D
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

The Ritz and the Renaissance are both located at Tower City, and are very close to HOB, but not so close to the stadium. The Crowne Plaza or the Marriott that's attached to the KeyBank building are your best options for proximity to both venues and hotel quality. For that matter, the Hyatt at the Old Arcade isn't a bad bet, either, although it's much closer to HOB than the stadium.

We're at the Hampton Inn on 9th street (six blocks form the stadium). Got a king room for $99 a night. I guess I can carry a twelve pack and some dogs for six blocks. Gonna need to bum some condiments and grill space though.

Maybe Snakeman will hook me up...

And maybe Dan Dakich will get a 5 year extension tomorrow.

Embassy Suites downtown Cleveland still has the $101 rate available on their web site. Here is the link:

Where will the BG tailgate parties be? Can't Wait!

I know I am having all my BG buddies meet in what is called "The Pit". It's a huge tailgating place for all the Browns games. It's on the westside of the stadium down a hill by the railroad tracks. It tends to get crazy down there. The bonus is that once your done tailgating after the game you can just walk two blocks over to the West 6th night life. In my opinion it is the best place to be.
