Again wrong. Mind your history, son.

Back to football.

Ummmmm Bush Sr. didn't get re-elected, remember? (see economic recession caused by the false boom created in the 80s that dropped out in the early 90s. . . . )

Why do so many people think that there is a direct tie between the economy and the sitting President?

Not surprised at all.
Growing up in Athens and playing for the high school, the only thing anyone dreamed of was to play for Don Peden.", 1950 OU graduate. "He was the most respected man in town."

Not really...George H.W. Bush didn't get re-elected for two reasons:

1. "Read my lips, no new taxes"

2. Ross Perot

An OU fan started the thread...does that explain it for you? Because it's football season, all opposing fans get on and go right to the football forums because it is the most read currently.

I"m not saying that it is justified but I would say that most peolple would agree Bush didn't get re-elected, partyl, because of the poor state of the economy. . .

As a disclaimer, here, I think this is a great place to post messages about BGSU football. As far as swinging the political route, I know it annoys some but I would like to thank everyone who has engaged in these open political discussions. I enjoy them and I think the fact taht I am having them with BG people signifies to me that they are real, honest people with no private agenda. Just wanted to say thanks for sharing all of your opinions.
