Tonight the kids and I drove past the guys as they were holding thier own Practice-Work outs out by the hhill in todays cooler evening air.
LAst year we enjoyed watching the guys work outs. Well tonight i got to wondering...I saw and know they come perpaired they bring plenty of fluids, but would it be an NCAA violation if some were to drop of, forget, or just leave, or honestly give the guys several coolers of rehydrating power aid- fresh water- type drinks?
A question

Definitely check with your compliance director first. However, most likely he will say it is OK if you provide enough coolers for the entire team. That way you are not singling anyone out and it is OK.MACMAN wrote:Tonight the kids and I drove past the guys as they were holding thier own Practice-Work outs out by the hhill in todays cooler evening air.

We considered doing something for the players at UT two years ago. We inquired about bringing a bunch of pizzas for the kids after practice one day. It was OK as long as we brought enough pizzas for the entire team. We weren't giving money, we were providing food, and it was for the entire team and not singling anyone out........so it wasn't a NCAA violation.
Again, check with BG's compliance director first. Especially since NCAA laws could have changed in the last 2 years.
