Look for a lot of stories from Maureen in the not-too-distant future. The number of works-in-progress she gave me was double-digits!! Should be lots of print in the next couple weeks.

Bowling Green Media day is tomorrow so I'm certain there will be a lot of feature stories in the Blade Saturday and Sunday.

Thanks for the updates, guys. 29 days and counting.

BTW, there wasn't a whole lot about MAC Media Day in the Akron Beacon Journal either...and Akron and Kent St are right here. I guess that new Canadian owner wants more hockey and curling stories. That could be a good thing when the mighty BG hockey team starts up the season!

Good piece. Simple, yet gets the point across. I'm ready to see what this team brings to the field!

(Oh, and just a tip I learned in JOUR 101, Maureen... don't let the monkey start typing until you're done with the "Notes". :-D )

As a moderator, I should delete the above comment as it is nothing more than a personal attack on a board member.

Upon reflection, I'll just say the hell with it and keep it up there. The kid plays in traffic, he should expect to get hit by a car or two

Why is Maureen accosting him with a laser pointer??

That isn't a laser pointer. It's a truth-getting device.

It's neither, it's a box of mints...bad breath.

Ok, lets see what things dont go with toledo and the Toledo media. first is news, nothing happens in Toledo, it all happens wher ethe people are and that is not toledo.
Second, sports.. nothing happens in toledo except for minor hockey and baseball (which) only recently actually moved to toledo, was in maumee ya know, and that move realy has done nothing deadleadO.
Toledo media professional = a person who can watch msnbc, cnn, fox, cspan, and espn and repeat what they have heard. 0 talent

its realy just sad, that these media outlets can not take the obvious steps to celebrate the great things these local/regional comuntities have to offer, and report on real news.
