Freshmen need to take up Falcon spirit

Post by bgsufn »

Nice article in today's BG News:
Second (and of equal importance) is that our colors here at BG are orange and brown. They don't include green (the name of the university might imply otherwise), and they don't include white (which might be confusing to you when winter rolls along and that's the only color you can see for miles and miles).

It might seem strange to you, but I also need to remind you that our colors are not red and gray.
He goes on from there. It's a good read. Link:

I really enjoyed that article. It didn't have that pissed off tone about nobody showing up for games, yet got the point across that we have a damn fine program here and we would like to see all the freshman come out for the games. Well done. [-o<

Don't think so. Probably Next week, is my guess. I drove down Wooster yesterday around 10:30 and they were in full move-in effect. Tons of Freshmen coming in, and all the houses on Wooster with giant banners reading, "After the Natty, she'll call us Daddy!" and "Dad's drink for free. Admission: One Daughter."

Always love move in week :)

Sweet article. I hope this helps out our student fan support a little bit more. I know Purdue is great about getting students to the game with articles in their newspaper, glad to see BG using the same idea!
4th & 13 on PU 32yd line.. 56,000 fans up on their feet screaming, i held my breath the entire play trying to make as little noise as possible.. wouldnt u know Sharon would make the biggest touchdown catch in the history of BG Football, FALCON UP!

Especially not the father that was in the Office of Admissions around 3:45 PM yesterday afternoon. I thought about taking him down the road and introducing a few of those guys to a father that wanted to meet them.

Classes start on Monday. BGX Orientation is going on now through Sunday.

Was he in there complaining about the signage?

What did he expect the university to do? They were on private property. Besides, he had to realize that he was sending his daughter to college. Drunkeness and sex are a part of college. Those guys were just having some fun with it :)

Yesterday, I was on Wooster headed towards DB's. I spotted a girl wearing a posterboard sign saying, "Honk if you think I'm sexy." I would have honked, but I couldn't see past the posterboard sign.

Her only hope would be a driver with x-ray vision.

You are all correct on the move-in/classes-start stuff. My law class starts monday night, and campus is blocked off from every angle. I'm actually curious how they got the permits from the city to do it. Mercer, Merry, Ridge, S. College, N. College......You can't get a car on campus these days with out driving over a campus cop, and let me tell you.....

Go Falcons!
