Bad news for Redd?

Post by TG1996 »

The Falcons picked up Ashley Lelie in a three team deal with Denver and Washington.

TJ Duckett goes to Washington, Broncos get a pick.

I thought you were going to post that 2-for-1 night at the Gold Club had been cancelled. . . now that would be bad news for Redd and Patrick Ewing.

Ashley Lelie might be the most effeminate name in the history of professional football.

Thats a really crappy trade for the Broncos. Lose a pretty darn good WR and get a future 3rd round draft pick? Yuck. Good thing I dont like them!
4th & 13 on PU 32yd line.. 56,000 fans up on their feet screaming, i held my breath the entire play trying to make as little noise as possible.. wouldnt u know Sharon would make the biggest touchdown catch in the history of BG Football, FALCON UP!

Luckily Lelie isn't a good WR. I'd be thrilled to get a 3rd round pick for him. He thinks he's 10x better than he really is, and last year took a step backward in terms of production. How does he react to playing worse than he did the year before? He holds out and demands a trade.

He's a baby, I wouldn't want him, and if I had him I'd gladly take a first day draft pick.

Obviously thats what the Broncos were thinking. Me personally, thinking short-term only I'd rather have an WR than get me 800-1000yds on 15-20per catch than a 3rd round pick in next years draft which looks like its going to be slim pickins...

And a swapped first round pick if the Broncos have a better record than the skins, which you can bank on. If the skins surprise, The Broncos get a 4th rounder in addition to the third. That's a huge price to pay for T.J. Duckett. The Redskins have always undervalued draft picks, and that's why Snyder keeps having huge salaries and no championships. The Redskins severely overpaid for Duckett, just like they did for Randle El and pretty much every other "big" FA they've signed during the Snyder regime.

Dan Snyder overpaid for a player! Stop the Presses!

Don't kid yourself, the Broncos made out like bandits in this trade. Lelie is extremely overrated, plus he didn't want to be there. The Broncos' hands were tied , and they HAD to get rid of him, and yet they still found some suckers to give up valuable draft picks for him. If I were an owner or GM in the NFL, I would have Snyder's number on speed dial.
