Perfect timing. I was flipping through channels and I just saw Shaun connect on a 42-yard field goal.

Sam Hurd also made a beautiful catch on a short fade for a TD.

Suisham has been kicking into or with a very strong wind so it's been hard to judge his kickoff distance. The 42-yarder was into the wind and had plenty of distance. He looks good. Hard to imagine this scenario during his Junior year at BG huh?

Vanderjagt having a hurt groin and Suisham having a great game is a good combination.

Shaun had five beautiful kicks and one serviceable but less than stellar effort. His kicks in order landed at the 1, 1, 24, -2, -5, and 0.

Boy, you got that right. Misjudged him pretty badly. Nice to see his success.

Great to see Shaun doing well. My question...how many times are the Cowboys gonna cut him and bring him back? Haven't they cut him at least 2 or 3 times already>?

Just once. Last year was his first year in the pro's...he started out with Pittsburgh... got cut eventually because that reed guy was pretty good. Then i think he went straigt to dallas to fill in for an injury at the time but was let go.
I don't think there was any CFL action although I believe he was drafted by one of the teams....Ottawa?

There was an article on the Dallas Cowboys website with some interesting info pertaining to Shaun and the Dallas kicking game.

"Thursday was Aug. 24, 15 days since Vanderjagt last kicked in practice - he went 0-for-3 and admitted to DallasCowboys.com he had a sore groin and quad that day - and he's still not kicking, spending the morning practice rehabbing."

"I'd like to see him kick off, and I haven't seen him do that in a practice," Parcells said. "But I have two guys who can kick off."

"I don't think that we'll have to decide anything without ever having seen him do anything," Parcells said. "If we do, then I don't know how I could decide in Vanderjagt's favor - if I don't see him do anything."
