Detroit Urban Lutheran WR Ramond Hutson has verbally committed to BG for 2007 according to Rivals. Lists at 6' 2", 175, 4.39. Credits Coaches Brandon and Azzani for impressing him at camp and in the recruiting process. Class D all stater; small school may have kept many colleges from pulling an "early" trigger- my speculation- but I understand this young man is indeed a real playmaker.
3.96 GPA and 23 ACT makes him quite a STUDENT-athlete.

Scout.com has a highlight video of him now, they didn't before.
The dude looks tall, and FAST. Not sure what his level of HS competition was, but if there were other D1 athletes on the field then this guy is a real beast. I'm thinking he was the only legit D1 athlete out there, but still it was mighty impressive. Most of the reel was him as a QB in an option style offense. I didn't see him making any elusive moves (because he didn't need to) he was just flat out faster than everyone else on the field.
The one play where he caught a pass he burnt his man REALLY badly, but the QB hung it and he had to wait on the ball. Still caught it, but it allowed the DB to catch up with him and make the TD saving tackle.
From the looks of this highlight reel he'll probably be a little raw as a WR, because he's playing mostly QB, but its still an awesome get. This guy looks like one of those guys who will help us be among the top 2-3 most athletic teams in the conference.

VERY impressive resume. I really love that 3.96 GPA and 23 ACT. Sounds like an excellent verbal.
