To the fans who travelled to away games

Post by Metz »

Great job supporting the team!!! Because the band is going to UT, OU was my last real road trip/tailgating of the season. I had a blast with everyone on this board I've met and the crowds at all the games I've been to are just awesome! The energy level is high the whole time and I'm almost positive it helps the team. So if no one else thanks you for going, I do because it's nice to have other Falcons around to talk to! The more orange the better and this year I think we had great support at all the away games! Go Falcons!!!!!

Same to you man. It's good to be able to go on the road and still have an impact. I was sitting on the opposite side of the main BG area. You guys were as loud as their students.

Yes, seeing BG fans on the road is the best sight of any away venue!

McMetz, It was great to meet you and your Dad, Ornithologist! We had a great time as well!! ...until we had the rainy drive home and being stuck in 6 lanes of STOPPED traffic outside of Columbus on 270.... The drive down felt like 2 hours and the drive back felt like 8!!! Still, it was a GREAT time and a fun game!!!! Thanks again for the tickets, we really appreciated it!!! Hope to see you at a LOT of hockey games, as well!!!

GO FALCONS!!

"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

Metz: I see that Fanatic has already thanked you for the tix, but let me add my thanks also... It was great sitting in a sea of orange, that close to the team and the field... and...on another note, we had a very good conversation with 2 OU fans who came up to us and asked where we got Omar from and did we think Cole was an NFL prospect...nice guys, seemed to be very knowledgeabe and fun to talk to. I also need to take the time to thank The Freak for his "chaffeur" service... had a great time talking with Dana and the kids both ways to the bustling metropolis of "GREEN", O. (next best to BOWLING GREEN, right Mike?) 8)

That would have made for a great cheer but since half their fans had left, it just wouldn't be as fun! We should have done it right after the first BG score!!
