Scrimmage Photos

Post by hammb »

I finally got my photos from the scrimmage uploaded this morning, so I thought I'd throw some of the better pics up here.

Image

Big bird practicing his onsides kicks...hopefully we won't need too many of these this year :)

Image

A good picture of a punter, but I really don't know which one. I don't think it was Rojas though, because he had his actual number (14) on.

Image

A practice placekicking by the bird.

Image

Bullock takes the handoff and bounces it outside to the right.

Image
Image

A couple good action shots of Zach Charles, taking advantage of some poor kickoff coverage. Guys didn't stay in their lanes and our wedge did a great job of exploiting that on this kickoff drill. They didn't let him run it out, but he was GONE. That guy has great speed, hopefully we'll see some returns like this when the opponents make the same mistake our coverage unit did...hopefully our coverage units don't make more mistakes like this :( Of all the Kickoffs I saw (maybe 7 or 8) this was the only one that had a long return allowed.

Image

Winovich looks in the pass in passing drills (no defenders).

Image

Nice form catch using the hands here in passing drills. Not really sure who this is, though :)

Image

QBs in another passing drill. I imagine this is Turner & Barnes, but I'm not 100% on that. They would have 2 WRs to the right. One would run a deep route, one would run a shorter route. Each QB would throw to one of the WRs.

Like I said, it unfortunately started to get dark and the pictures wouldn't come out much later than these, so these are the best I've got. It's a good sample anyways to tide ya over till Saturday :)

Stay safe and DRY!!!
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

Flying up Friday morning Orlando to Detroit. Then drive to Cleveland. We have two nights at the downtown Cleveland Embassy Suites. Then driving to BG Sunday. Flying back out of Detroit Monday afternoon.

Then I will be flying back up Friday for the Buffalo game, followed by an early return Sunday morning to get back in time to get to Tampa to see the Buccaneers home opener. Whew.....

Again, good luck on the travel plans!! Hope the hurricane doesn't change them!!!! With all the people and many places involved in this week's game, I doubt if we will meet, but be sure and stop by the tailgate area for the Buffalo game!!
