In that three way tie, I believe it would come down to NIU and UT since we most recently went to the MACC. I could be wrong on that, but I thought that was one of the tie breakers.
I thought it was that simple, but if I'm wrong, I'm sure someone will correct me
There's another thread where someone called the MAC office and deterimined what the tiebreaker is. We thought for a long time that the method you mention was the tie breaker, but it wasn't.
I think Toledo will end this talk when they lose @ Miami on 11/2.

I haven't replied to these threads because I agree with you here TG. None of us can really predict what is going to happen so I'm just sitting tight. When we do get to the end of the season, I might actually start to pay attention to what is going on. Until then, wait it out...any given team can lose on any day to anyone.
Amen to that. Let's just win the rest of our games and see how things shake out then.

See how much easier all this would have been had we just beaten NIU? I circled that game when the schedule came out and worried about if for months. I could have cared less about Oklahoma because I know how big the NIU game was. We beat NIU, we're in the drivers seat. Since we lost, we're spinning our wheels. I actually thought we looked better against Oklahoma than we did NIU.
The easiest thing for me to do is watch BG beat the tar outta every team left on the sked and see where everything stands at the end.
I'll let you brainy math guys sort out the details.
Either way, my preseason prediction of 9-2, 7-1 MAC is shaping up nicely.

Yes we played a poor 2nd half at NIU but dammit, that game was almost 2 months ago. I prefer to forget it and just watch BG whip the teams we have left.
33, I know what you're saying. It sux in the MAC that one freakin game can have such huge implications but it did. I wish I could say NIU will lose 2 MAC games outta their last 3 but short of a total collapse, that ain't gonna happen. The Huskies have been on a mission this yr after falling short the last few years. And F UT.

You got it. If we win out - and make your prediction true in the process - we have a real shot at a bowl. So, who would be dissapointed with a 9-win season and a bowl bid? Not me. I'd rather with the MAC, true, but I'll take the above scenario. Not a bad consolation prize.

Right on '87....just take each game as it comes up and hopefully we'll be bowling. 9-2 is a great record considering the road games we have this year. @ OK, @ NIU, @ UT....and I think we're gonna put a real hurtin' on the rockettes this yr at the No Class Bowl.
But first, EMU and only EMU.

Yeah there is nothign we can do other than win our games, so lets focus on that. We cant help toledo beat NIU, but we can help the Falcons win out, so that we must.

I just don't see it at all. You guys remeber how many rushing yards UT gave up to Minnesota? NIU's rushing game should make mince meat out of UT's inexperinced D-line.
