Week 2 Improvement

Post by Rollo83 »

They say that a team's biggest development occurs between weeks one and two of the season. I wasn't able to make the game on Saturday. Can anyone speak to what kind of improvement we saw this past week? Just from reading the posts here, it sounds like the special teams didn't improve at all. Maybe even took a step backwards.

But, how about the offense and defense?

Actually, I thought both our offense and especially defense, played really well. The defense is "getting after it" bigtime, and if they can "wrap" a little better, I like their style! The points Buffalo put on the board was quite misleading.

yeah i really think that the defensive side of the ball is MUCH improved. Dozier looks like a stud and is really a high energy, hard hitting guy that you need on defense. Devon Parks is really getting after it and i think the defense as a whole is going to keep gettinbg better and better. It will be interesting to see how this teams plays by the time the meat of teh schedule pops out. I still think we will be 4-1 going into the shoe.

I agree with FM. After looking over the stats, the O and D played a pretty solid game. It's those ST's that are killing us right now. After 2 games, BG is averaging 288 yards rushing a game and 435 total offense per game. The D has allowed 151 yards per game on the ground and 282 total. So far, that is a 100 yard improvement over last year's D. I am really pumped about the D's improvement and with the O using about 1/8th of the playbook.

GET THE SPECIAL TEAMS FIXED....
