For a guaranteed win over the Emus, it was worth every penny. :)

Grant is right. I was speechless. As one of my former artists used to frequently say - "I didn't even know how to act." To be honest, I still don't quite know how to say thank you.

When Chris called, I was so stunned that I spent most of the conversation stammering. After I hung up the phone, a few folks actually stopped by my desk to see if everything was OK.

I printed out a few pages of the Project Falcon blog for Mrs. 87 to see and, needless to say, she was even more stunned than I. "Your school is amazing," she kept saying it over and over.

I handed the pages to Noah and, as he read them, he just flung his arms around me and said, "does this mean we're going, Dad?" I assured him we were. "This is unbelievable! Why did they go to all that trouble?"

Let me share a story that I've shared with Freak and Grant: Mrs. 87 and I were sitting up late one evening, discussing our recent financial situation as we were sorting through photos. These were the photos we had pulled out of various albums for a memory board for my father's funeral. We came across one of Noah & Catie not long after I returned home from China with Catie. Ruth looked at it for a moment and said "they're just growing up so fast." Then she looked at me and said, "we really need to figure out a way to get you and Noah to that game."

So Ruth & I will file Project Falcon under "A" for "Answer to Prayer." We are so deeply grateful.

Of course, not everyone will be happy about this turn of events. Someone now needs to contact Jeff Genyk and let him know The Streak will return to The Doyt on Oct. 14.
Karl,

It was a sincere pleasure to contribute! I kept reading your PM's laughing to myself knowing everyone here was pitching in. "Where there's a will, there's a way". I am so glad it is the EMU game cuz we won't be able to tailgate for Kent...HS class reunion weekend but we'll still be at the game, of course. When Mrs. Freak's stepmom heard about all the driving I would be doing the Kent weekend she asked "Can't Mike just miss a game?". Surely you jest, woman. I don't think that will ever happen.

Josh and Jake are so excited to see Noah again and I can't wait to have a brat and cold one with you, brother. God bless everyone here for doing what you did. This is why BGSU is better than any other school...the people make the difference.

GO FALCONS!!!!
