Doyt Perry Special to Air

Post by Spart43 »

I just found this.

Doyt Perry:
A Coach For Life

Just in time for football season
Doyt Perry: A Coach For Life examines the spectacular coaching career of Doyt L. Perry, Hall of Fame football coach at BGSU from 1955-1964. This local documentary will aire on Thursday Sept. 28th
at 9 pm.

It is being aired by WBGU-PBS Channel 27. Could someone local tape this for me. Next Thursday at 9:00pm. I think this would be very interesting to see. Maybe we could have the whole team sit down and watch this together.

I'm pretty sure the university still has copies of this program available on DVD. It's definitely something you want to see!

It's a great special. I've got it on tape (never heard about DVD), and the Center for Archive Collections is/was selling VHS copies for $10. I need to make a good copy so I can watch the hell out of it without worrying about damaging the original tape.

Good find, and thanks for sharing that, Scott!!! Everyone here that hasn't seen it should try to someway, somehow.

I have a copy on VHS...parents bought for me for Christmas a few years back. EXCELLENT addition to your BG collection and a great resource as to why Doyt was, is and will always be such a great influence.
