Trev Alberts is the record holder for sacks in a career at Nebraska, but while he was there in 1990-1993 they did not win a national title. Heck look at these bowl game scores.

1993 Orange Florida State L 16-18
1992 Orange Florida State L 14-27
1991 Orange Miami FL L 0-22
1990 Citrus Georgia Tech L 21-45

They didn't even win a bowl game.

I don't care if he won three Heismans and four national championships before finding the cure for the common cold. His arrogant pomposity is only exceeded by his lack of insight into the state of college football.

I hope Utah kicks the tar out of whoever they play in the BCS (assuming they win out). I'm a little tired of hearing Trev babble about how Utah and the other mid-majors cannot compete consistently with the big boys.

This is kind of stupid, but at the time I had been drinking all day. At the NIU game last year one of my friends created a sign that said TREV IS A _ENIS! He stood in the front row for Gameday for about 2 minutes before a BG poilce officer took it. He was kind of lit himself and argued with the police officer because he thought it was politically correct. Watching a drunk try to rationalize and plead his case to the police officer was funnier than the sign. By the way he wasn't a student. He was a 31 year old alumni.
