6 Home Games in 2007?!?
From Today's Blade:
"If our 2007 schedule holds together as it is now, we'd have six home games and two in September," Christopher said.

Has anyone told him he should call Ohio U. and the MAC to get approval before even thinking about a schedule for next year?Redwingtom wrote: "If our 2007 schedule holds together as it is now, we'd have six home games and two in September," Christopher said.

Who's on tap for home games in 2007? We should catch Toledo, Akron, Ohio and Temple at the Doyt, yes? Is the FIU return game in 2007, too?
Yes, the FIU return game is next year as well as Boise St. finally making that trip to the Doyt. So, Fla Int and Boise St. for sure. Probably Toledo, but I would hedge on any MAC games until we see how they throw Temple in there. We may move back to the West again.

Oh, I thought Boise State was 2008, but that gives us our two OOC home games, which is exactly what we need.Warthog wrote:Yes, the FIU return game is next year as well as Boise St. finally making that trip to the Doyt. Screw that. Let the MAC move someone else. I like the East and want BG to stay there. I would think FIU, Boise State, Ohio, Akron, UT are for sure with one other one from the West or Temple. CMU might be one considering this year will be our 3rd trip to Mt Not So Pleasant in the last 5 years (2002, 2004, 2006) and they were here once in 2003.Warthog wrote:Yes, the FIU return game is next year as well as Boise St. finally making that trip to the Doyt. Won't be C Mich unless we switch to the West. If we stay in the East, we rotate the crossover games from the West. Right now we play five East and three West with UT one of the crossovers each year. I not know how they will handle the unbalanced divisions next year. A thought would be six East games and only two crossovers. But at any rate, we have C Mich and E Mich this year and had W Mich and Ball St last. So that means next year we will for sure play No. Ill., then Toledo as well. If we stay in the East, logic would say Temple, Ohio, Akron, Toledo, Boise and FIU at home. No Ill, Kent, Miami, Buffalo on the road plus two more OOC games. My guess would be one Big Ten team, plus a decent C-USA team would be a good fit.

Since we played FIU in that southern Florida heat, could they come north for some November cold.
