Why do MAC officials suck so bad?
Second thought, who do College Football officials as a whole suck so bad. Yeah, there is the occasional blown call in the NFL, but nothing like College...and when it happens, the Oklahoma/Oregon thing is typical, not the exception. And it certainly isn't limited to when a big money team takes it up the rear.
Not that I am arguing that it would have changed the outcome of the game, but the officiating was horrible in this game. They missed so many holding calls I wanted to go onto the field and show the Ref what a hold looked like. Correct me if I'm wrong, but if you put a team's Defensive End into a headlock, isn't it holding? What's worse, the official was right in front of it.
There were missed holding calls, facemask calls...etc, etc, etc. It was pathetic.
Not all of the blown calls were at BG's expense. I'm not arguing that BGSU got screwed. I am arguing that the officials should be better than they are. If I can see it from section 15A, they should be able to see it from 5 yards away.
Go Officials!...and don't come back!
