The real issue is...

BG needs to start recruiting actual QUARTERBACKS!!! Ever since Josh harris and Jacobs, they recruit running backs than can occasionally hit a receiver. You run out of a SPREAD OFFENSE. I understand they try to run the quarter back left, right up the middle , to the concession stand, and around the popcorn vendor but it needs to go! Get a pocket passer that can through the ball and put all of these "qb's" that we have in as running backs where they belong.

I would take a pocket passer over a scrambler any day of the week. A running back is who should do the running, a quaterback who actually sees the field (or even looks at a route other than he's main one) would be amazing.

The defense will be alright eventually (maybe) i'm giving the atrocious secondary the benefit of the doubt because they are so young. The special teams? well the special team coach needs to get canned and they need to quit trying to revolutionize special teams. Special teams and the formations have essentially been unchanged over the years, the main reason for this is because there is no need for a change. FIX IT!! The 20 yard punt towards the end of the first half was the nail in the coffin and itkilled the little bit of confidence BG had.

But other than that BG is a great football team.

Josh Harris was not much of a quarterback during his first year or two at BG. He was a run-first QB that developed into a very solid throwing QB by his senior season. Who gets the credit for his development? Most of it goes to Josh for working his butt off and becoming a solid QB, but I'm sure that coaching helped along the way.

I hope the coaches and we as fans don't give up on AT too early. I think he could turn out to be a really good quarterback at BG. The guy did lead his team to a state title in high school and I believe that he can get us a MAC title during his time at BG if we stick with him.

I would agree with this. We are a different offense with AT in the game. We just haven't seen it enough.
