Not sure what happened here!
This is the wrong forum but I'm ready for some bball!!! I wish every sport started up in August and played on different days. It'd be great to be retired and living in BG then too. I'd just camp out around campus and go to everything!!!!BGSUfanatUT wrote: WHen I went up to the michigan basketball game last year, and their students chant "you will mis, you will miss" over and over when the opponent is at the line I thought that was funny. Bacn3 and I brought it back to BG and use it now. The best part is that if they dotn miss, they gthrow in a "you still suck" at the end of all the 'you will miss'es.

Rhythmically, it needs to have two letters before the "SU" part. Like San Diego State (S-D-S-U-C-K-S). It would sound funny otherwise (as in Kent State -- K-S-U-C-K-S).bacn3 wrote:first off the bgSUCKS thing can be done with any university in the nation that has "state university" in its name so get something new!!

We just need to change our letters to BGU (like ESPN already did) and then they can't sat it anymore.
Kind of like that school up north changing to UT just so we could not say PU-TU anymore!
The whole thing is childish...kind of like a certain school's fight song that spells out the school name at the end. Can you imagine if at the end of our fight song we all went B-O-W-L-I-N-G <space> G-R-E-E-N how stupid that would sound?

Way to come up with a global insult. That jsut saying like "You are gonna lose" or "<insert name> sucks" or "go team". you are right metz, people need some creativity.

Actually, that came about because of the BG News not getting the story right back in 1984 or '85 (Sorry McMetz).BGSUfanatUT wrote:That really gets to me when ppl bring that STD crap up. If they knew anything, we were so high b/c there were about 10 schools to actually turn in reports of that.
The Health Center was collecting numbers on Chlamydia and the BG News ran a story that blew everything out of proportion. It evidently was picked up by the national press and has become fodder for those that don't know better.
If you really want to know more about it, contact Barb Hoffman < [email protected] > in the Student Health Center. Here's the information she provided to the Office of Admissions a few years back.

Sure would be a great story for the BG News to go back and do another story today and get it right.

Hey, it's cool! If you noticed, the only thing I've ever really got upset about is when people complain about sports stuff. The news and sports people are very divided so as long as you don't put down the sports stuff, I'm fine with it. I make fun of the rest of the paper besides sports anyways!!transfer2BGSU wrote:Actually, that came about because of the BG News not getting the story right back in 1984 or '85 (Sorry McMetz).
