Hats off to Coach Brandon

Post by Spart43 »

Thanks Coach Brandon!

What a tremendous coaching job you performed this past week. To pick this team up after the loss to Kent State and have them come out with such great intensity against Ohio. Now that is coaching.

We looked like a completely different team this week. I know it helps that AT was back and he needs to remain our QB as long as he is healthy.

I had a thing or two to say last week, I wasn't calling for your replacement, but I was not happy with the loss and some of your comments. But I did say I support you. And I think you showed us all this week the type of coaching and motivation that you are capable of.

We must remember that Brandon is still learning and growing as a Head Coach and our team is young. I think the Coach grew a little this past week and learned a lot about his team. I hope all of us saw this and will stand by him for the rest of the season no matter how it turns out.

I didn't hear the post game press conference but I am sure he sounded awhole lot better this week.

Once again Great Job Coach! Keep up the good work.

Well said Spart and I agree. As I said last week, it is still possible for us to go 7-1 in the MAC and I have no doubt that will be good enough to get us to the conference championship game!
4th & 13 on PU 32yd line.. 56,000 fans up on their feet screaming, i held my breath the entire play trying to make as little noise as possible.. wouldnt u know Sharon would make the biggest touchdown catch in the history of BG Football, FALCON UP!

BGSU, i agree that if we play like that we can run the table after the OSU game. Hopefully kent slips up twice by then in conference so we can get to the MACC! I would like to see If we play like we did yesterday, how long we can stay competitive with OSU in that game?

Spart,

I could not have said that any better. My exact thoughts...It was great hanging with you, Randy and the clan and we had a great ride home to Akron. Ed and Michelle, GOOD TIMES tailgaiting!! Spart, did Randy find that drunk OU kid and "Give" him a goodbye slap? LOL!!

Mrs. Brandon said some things to me near the end of the game that showed what class she and Coach are. It would have been easy to bash me for some of my negative comments after last week's game but she was very cool and understanding. I really appreciated that. Like she said, "If we didn't care so much about Falcon football, we would have shrugged last week off". Thanks Mrs. Brandon!

Coach Brandon also reninforced a valuable lesson for me this weekend. "Don't get too high off the wins and don't get too low with the losses". We all, at times, think we could do better than the coach when it comes to coaching the team. Well, I'll admit I don't know much about coaching cuz I've never done it. You can't possibly please everyone and the scrutiny is beyond belief. Win and your a hero. Lose and, well....

Coach, excellent job this weekend. From the moment the team came out of the tunnel, they were FOCUSED and READY. It showed. Our defense is really coming together and a trip to watch. Special Teams are getting better every week. The offense still needs work but AT missing a couple games hurt. Chris Bullock is very impressive.

As I said last week, I've supported Coach Brandon since Day 1. And while I was quite upset after last week's game with the Flashes, I never thought replacing Coach was an option.

We need to stay behind this team thru the good times and bad...and there will be both with such a young team. I can't wait to get to Columbus. While the chance of victory may be slim, I just want to see the Falcons in action again!! There's a ton of ball left to be played in the MAC and we're still in this thing.

Thanks for a great coaching job, Coach! I totally respect your efforts to improve this team.

As one that may have been a little too negative over the past week, I too, would like to congratulate Coach Brandon on a fine game. The defense looked outstanding and the offense opened it up a bit to get the job done. Great to see the team much more focused this week. Good game.

Great job this past week coach, but I want to see more of that.

We need to start playing to that level more often.

I agree -- we looked like a real team this week, and Brandon deserves all the credit just like he gets all the blame sometimes.

We just need consistency.

Yup. And if I'm a coach, I think about keeping that Kent State game tape around to show on every bus trip and plane ride the rest of the season. Just as a little reminder.

I was at the top of Peden Stadium watching with my sister (ou student), my dad (kent fan/neutral party), my mom (doesn't know whats going on so she just cheers the whole time and yells bgsu when I sing AZZ), and tons of OU fans. For some reason EVERYONE expected BG to get a spanking yesterday, thanks for shutting them up coach. It waa great to walk out of there with my head held high and singing Beer Barrel, which EVERYONE loved btw.
Yeah right girl!
