Creative put downs due to wearing Orange

Post by irs »

Having been to several away games, what are some of the thing BGSU fans have been called that was creative – not dirty. For example:

1. At FIU upon leaving the stadium an FIU fan yelled we looked like Cheese Curl because we were in orange.

2. At tOSU three years ago, as we were walking to the stadium, had a person look around and said there was a lot of BGSU fans there as there was so many orange construction barrels / cones. (They were building the suspension bridge.)

Anyone have any other creative (not vulgar) things they have been called due to wearing orange?

I was accused of being a Dutch supporter. I'm still seeking therapy.

At the UConn holiday tourney last December an aggrevated UConn fan (probably in his 60's) kept yelling "HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!" angrily whenever we scored - which we did quite a bit (we beat UConn 9-2 8) ). All I could really do was laugh at the fact that a 60 year old man would be getting so childishly angry.

I didn't get called anything creative, let alone amusing. I think that the students from "that school down south" lack the necessary intelligence to come up with anything better than BG sucks, or BGSTD.....

In 1982, I attended a football game in their old stadium. I was subjected to some guy yelling PUMPKIN HEADS at me the entire game. Try that for three hours some time.

Down at the game in Athens a few weeks ago my own father told me I looked like an end zone pylon.

A few years back at the Oklhoma U. game we kept getting really ugly looks from their fans. They thought we were for Oklahoma State.

Growing up a Syracuse fan, and then coming to BG, basically every article of clothing I own is orange. Until I get that brown football jersey.

The Hockey team was (or is it were) called Tootsie Rolls when they wore their brown jerseys. Is that where we got the tradition of throwing tootsie rolls??
