Some positives from yesterday...

Post by Falconfreak90 »

Seems like the Freak has been po'ed on every post tonight so enough is enough.

Eastern Michigan entered last night's contest as the second-best rushing team in the MAC, but Bowling Green limited the Eagles to just 45 yards on 27 carries. The Falcons now have won 15 straight games in which they have limited their opponents to less than 100 rushing yards. ... BG center Scott Mruczkowski made his eighth start this season and 45th of his Falcon career. That broke the BG record of 44 starts made by Rob Fehrman from 1997 to 2000. Way to be Ogre!!

With six catches last night Cole Magner moved into second place on the school's all-time pass reception list. Magner now has 186 career receptions; he passed Mark Szlachcic, who had 182 from 1989-92. Ice Ice baby!

And finally....way to be Freaklings. I'll tell ya these kids of mine are media magnets. We walk into the stadium at 5:30 and while I'm buying $10 worth of 50/50 tix, Sam, the girl that does features on Falcon Football with Gregg Brandon, starts interviewing the boys! I'm like NO WAY! I walk over and she's asking these questions and they're answering them. Jake does his Falcon shreek and Sam thought the mic was gonna blow. I tell her we watch Falcon Football every saturday (tape it every week cuz we're usually in the stands) except yesterday FSN moved it to 11 and didn't bother to tell anyone!!

At any rate, she asks if she can interview me. Um, yeah. No problem with that. So we go up to our seats in Sec 13, Row 24 and she starts asking me questions while tape is rolling. I have to admit it was pretty cool. The segment is supposed to air on next saturday's show on FSN. Just to be safe, since we'll be TG early Sat, I am setting the VCR to tape from 11 til 12, then the game at 1 on FSN.
:D

The night ended with Major Falcon, myself and the Freaklings playing a game on the Doyt turf. Walking to our car, we run into Gibby leaving and he decides to start playing catch with Josh. Josh tells him "I remember you scored a TD in the 2001 UT game!" Jake yells "Yeah and BG whipped UT 56-21!!" I am so very proud of them. Thanks Mitch for playing as well. The Freaklings are a trip.

I saw them down there taping you. Can I be the first to ask for your autograph? Maybe they will even show your name unlike the guy who taped me. I'll be watching.

That was messing with me too. I have a season pass set for the show with my Tivo. I started watching it about three minutes after I started so I thought that would be good for skipping at least one comercial. Then I kept going through comercial after comercial and I was ahead of where I thought I would be in real time. I'm glad they changed the scheduling info in the guide otherwise who knows what I would have been subjected to watching.

Look forward to seeing you on the show next week...even though I see you every game but have yet to say anything....the jersey does make you easy to pick out. ;)

Ornithologist,

Sure. I only charge $100 per autograph. My agent says that is the going rate. Damn that other guy! No respect!

FalconKing,
Man, stop down and say hey! Better yet....hit the AZZ.com TG area out in the East lot before the game. Yeah, the jersey kinda gives it away, I guess.

GO BG!~

I also saw them taping you Freak! Good stuff! My boyfriend and I had to laugh at one of your little ones at the end of the game dancing with some ballons in the student section at the end of the game. Love the jerseys!

Also, I wanted to let you know that I dressed up as a "Falcon Freak" yesterday at work. I work up in Toledo, so you can imagine the looks I recieved when yelling "Go BG!"
