Mostly because I'm desperate to see this team close one out early, this is a 'will it to win it' prediction.

Never fear, my predictions are always wrong. In fact, like Ranger Rocket and a couple of others, I predicted a 12-0 season for the Rocketsbgsufalcon24 wrote:You should have your account immediately revoked for making such a prediction. I don't know if you saw this, probably not, but there was a cartoon in the BG News opinion section a few days ago. It had two people in it, one was wearing a shirt that said "BG spirit police" on the front, and he was carrying a clipboard. The other person was wearing a BG sweatshirt overtop of an OSU shirt, standing in front of his closet (which was leaking out OSU stuff from the closet). My girlfriend was the first to mention that she immediately thought of me when she saw the BG spirit police person, and I have to agree with her. Ever since I came to BGSU in August of 2005, I have been rabid in my support of Falcon athletics, perhaps too much so at times. I have a lot of pride for my university and its athletic teams. Last night I had the privilege of seeing our volleyball come from an 0-2 deficit to nearly knock off the unbeaten Ohio Bobcats. It was the first volleyball match I had seen since coming here, and while our Falcons did not win, they gave everything they could out there. They dived for balls, hit shots with rediculous spins and speeds, pulled out all the stops. They have pride in themselves as a team and for their university, just like all our other teams here. What I constantly wonder is why that pride fails to trickle down to the fanbase of Falcon athletics. I am mad at the fact that people seem to think its uncool to stick their chests out and say "I'm a Bowling Green Falcon."Jacobs4Heisman wrote:bgsufalcon24 wrote:You should have your account immediately revoked for making such a prediction. I think you should change your screen name to "the optimism police".
This directly translates down to us making our predictions on this football game against Temple today. When we have people, our fans, making predictions for us to lose to a team that is not only 0-8 but hasn't won a game in almost 2 years, that is a sign that we have a collective lack of pride in our athletic teams. (Of course, since Redwingtom even said he picked against us so we can win just because he's always wrong, his prediction is justified, BTW thanks Redwingtom) Say what you want about Gregg Brandon, Scott Paluch, Curt Miller, even Dan Dakich, they are doing their jobs in the best way that they know to advance their athletes as players and as people. And oh yeah, Brandon hasn't had a losing season since coming to BGSU, Miller's team went 28-3 last season, and Paluch and Dakich both have something to prove this winter. We don't have it so bad here at BGSU after all, we have a winning tradition here that many people don't seem to recognize. It's about time us Falcon fans started being proud to be a Falcon.
