As in 2004, shall we converge on Rockette Hall for Tailgating festivities?

"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

Rockette Hall is located by Lot 25. This is right on the corner of Secor and Dorr Rds. According to Mapquest, merge from I 80 to Reynolds Road/US 20 N via Exit 59 toward I 475/I 75/ US 23. Turn right on Airport Hwy/OH 2 and go about 2 miles. Turn left on S Byrne Rd and go another 2 miles. Turn right on Dorr St/OH 246 then right on Secor.
From BG, the easiest way is probably 25 North until you hit 475...or you could take 75 to 80 and follow the directions. I've found the easiest thing to do is drive toward Toledo and follow the stench.
I am working til 12:30 Tuesday. I've decided everything will be packed the night before, change at work and roll down the 'Pike. I work in Twinsburg and the Turnpike interchange is right down the road from the office. Why drive 25 miles back to Green just to turn around and drive back up? I'll be driving the Freakstyle. The Flag and helmet will be there as well as the grill.
Can't wait til Tuesay. It's been 363 days since that bitter defeat at the Doyt. Time to get the Glass Bowl Monkey off our back.

Basically, just take I-475 to Secor, head South, and once you hit the ghetto and fear for your life, you are there. Just pull over, park the car, and start drinking (but make sure you are packin').

It's worth noting that Rocket Hall doesn't look anything like a Rocket.
If I can get out of the office at a decent hour, I will show up to represent.
At any rate...I'll be in that stupid depression era, WPA project stadium Rockette fans get a chubby over whenever the topic comes up.

Yeah they easily have the best 1/2 stadium in the conference. I just don't like the concessions on the non-pressbox side- those poor workers are caged in to their stands.Flipper wrote:At any rate...I'll be in that stupid depression era, WPA project stadium Rockette fans get a chubby over whenever the topic comes up.
Give the Huns a big F.U. for those of us who can't make it in person!

Take 75 N to exit #203A (believe it says either Bancroft or Detroit). When you get off the exit you will be on Bancroft Street. Follow this down until you pass the University (it's a couple miles, you will pass the UHall tower). Take a left on Secor. I believe the second light on Secor will be the entrance to Rocket Hall. It will be on your left.

I wouldn't go that way....I 'd take 75N to 23N to 475E. Get off at Secor and hang a right . Follow Secor south past Central, Kenwood and Bancroft. Go under the railroad bridge and the lot for Rockette Hall is on your left.
Getting off at Bancroft from 75 puts in you a part of Toledo that is best left unseen.
If you find yourself on Dorr Street, you've gone to fricking far

Just curious, when are you taking your helmet off? You're home....you need to take off the lid and relax.MajorFalcon92 wrote:We will be on the Corner of Dorr & Secor. We are planning on getting there early, NLT 3:30 or 4:00pm. I think they refer to the vicinity as Rocket Hall. There is a Burger King and a BP gas station near the location for reference purposes.
