While UT fans would make a loss at NIU a big excuse why they lose to us, I still would rather they simply suffer. I want beating us to be the last and only thing they have left, and to take it away from them big-time. I want their players ending their season with hordes of BGSU fans in their own house, and our Falcons rip what is left of the hype they get mainlined there weekly.

Of course if NIU drops two games and we win out I'll be happy too.

I also think that NIU dropping two games and the championship game coming down to UT/BG would be great for the MAC. Sure UT will have a lot more to play for. But if we're scared of that, we don't deserve to beat them anyway. Right now BG will pummel anyone in the MAC, in any stadium. The MAC west coming down to BG/UT is what football is all about. Until that is no longer a possibilty that's what I will hope for.

Tis fine with me, its just not what I'm hoping for. My ideal world is one where every UT fan starts the year hoping for the best, and having their hopes dashed with each game they play, until they question why in gods name they root for that high school.

Consistent with that view, I hope they get blown out.

I'd love nothing more than to see the Rockettes limp into the Glass Bowl after a severe beating at the hands of the Huskies, playing for only the faint glimmer of hope of a bowl game, only to have the Falcons pound them by about 60 points. Then the Falcons can get the MAC's third bowl game and leave Coach Imstufft to gorge himself on Moon Pies and Pork Rinds until the spring game, at which time he can post bail for his returning seniors.

BTW, if UT loses they fall to 6-4. Ain't no way UT is going bowling if they lose tonight. And I still expect BG to beat them at UT this year.

What I like is this: UT wins - and they have to go thru BG (not the city this time) for the MAC Championship. We SMOKE em in their own house and spoil it for them. Just like when I played in the mid 90's. Nothing like beating UT in their own house - trust me on this. THen we look GREAT going into post season - we get invited to a sweet bowl (not the toilet bowl in Mobile) and we enjoy the spoils to the victors. Ay-Ziggy-Zoomba is so fun to sing in DECEMBER!

As much as I dislike Toledo I dislike NIU EVEN MORE. I am loving EVERY single minute of this game. It is exactly what I expected after seeing NIU's performances in the past few games agaisnt horrible opponents and lets be honest, Toledo isn't a powerhouse at all this year and thye are taking it to them and shutting them down. I love every second of it. NIU is getting stomped and the only bad thing about that is that it makes us look back and wonder just how in the hell we lost. And since we did lose it makes us look bad. But thats ok we will beat Toledo in Toledo and reaffirm our stance in the MAC and NCAA.

I agree. I dislike Toledo because they are our rivals....and because they simply are - Toledo. I dislike NIU because they have dealt us crushing losses in the last two games at Dekalb which have been costly. Basically, I dislike them both, but for different reasons.
