There's still hope

Post by BGSU33 »

If BG beats Marshall and Toledo, and EMU beats NIU.....we're MACC bound! It's a lot to ask for, but if NIU would have won tonight, there'd be no shot of it possibly happening. At least there's still some hope right now. But whether NIU losses to EMU or not, BG must win out to have a shot at an at-large bowl bid. The bottom line is, we still have an opportunity for a lot to play for, but we must take care of business along the way first.

EMU

Post by momtartin »

A few buds and I are planning on going up to EMU to cheer on the EMUS against NIU, since our win against Marshall is going to be so sweet, and Toledo even sweeter, why not make NIU feel the BG prescence looming over them everywhere they go? Watching every mistake they make, every interception thrown, every fumble, etc. Anything to help BG win. Just think, a sea of Orange and Brown in the EMU stadium, all cheering against NIU.

EMU is much improved. It's not totally out of the question that they would win. Hey, after all, they're the Michigan Directional Champions this year!

It's really not that much to ask for. Did you see what NIU did in the second half against a team that has given up more than 30 points several times?

It's why we play the games, there's always a chance. If UCF and Ball State almost beat NIU, EMU could as well. It still baffles me as to how Toledo could handle NIU so easily, and how UCF, BSU and SIU pushed them to the end, but NIU simply manhandled us :?:

Right on. Our game against NIU was an anomaly. Honestly I think if we played that game right now we beat NIU by 5 TDS. They wooped our asses but they played us on the right day. We had a lot to think about that week. You put a lot into perspective when you lose a classmate/player in the same week as a game. Makes you really think that any moment could be your time. This may have been a huge impact that week. Maybe not.
