If he is fairly punished I don't think there will be either. Those who live in glass bowls shouldn't throw stones, so UT is out.1987alum wrote:Which will be first ...

or
2) A BG fan using this as an indictment on Brandon
Even money, methinks.
If he is dealt with firmly then I have no fault with Brandon for it either. We all screwed up when we were that age, it's impossible to get 85 perfect kids to field a team...you just have to establish discipline when needed.
I do wish Coach Brandon would take a page from Urbie's book and punish the entire team whenever somebody screwed up, but as long as he's fair & consistent with his punishments that's all it should take.
There are plenty of reasons to indict Brandon, no reason to nitpick on a small one

3) Some smartass makes sure you get your Fulmer Cup points. (Don't worry. OU is way out front right now.)

Trying...trying...trying...nope...can't force myself to give a crap. Kids get in fights all the time. As we all know, the threshold for the BG poilice to get involved in something is ridiculously low. As long as he didn't do something foolish like punch a Newlove or a Hanna, he should be OK.

How is that a foolish statement? The kid probably had it coming...heck we don't even know how beat up either of them are. If anything I think this "incident" stems from boredom and our athletes should be training harder for the upcoming season. Boredom in athletes that play football sometimes leads to this. At least he didn't go PacMan Jones on the kid.BGfootballfan wrote:Foolish statement....were you there? For all we know he could of gone Joe O'Neil on some poor sap.FalconFanatic wrote:Stuff like this happens at every school during the offseason... It was only a fight, and chaces are the kid on the losing end got what he deserved...
Fighting can be defined as two guys who had a misunderstanding pushing each other before the bouncers split them up and call the cops.
No one here knows what happened, so continuing to talk about it and make assumptions is asinine.
