We still have a good chance at the MAC west title. I knew NIU would lose this game and I said it several times. UT has had their number for several years. The dominance continues. NIU is not that good of a team. Tonight showed that. They showed us up but that does not make them gods gift of mac teams. Toledo manhandled them in the second half. Heck, take away that tip TD and NIU only has 10 points in this game. As I have pointed out several times NIU is not that good of a team. They beat us. So what! That's there big accomplishment. We haven't played that bad since since Blackney was our coach. The NIU game was an abberation. Toledo's defense sucks and they shut NIU down in the second half. NIU squeaked by several crappy opponents. EMU is more than good enough to defeat them, especially at home. EMU 37 NIU 28. Setting the stage for the biggest MAC west game in history

I wonder, if it comes down to BG-UT in two weeks, if that would weigh VERY heavily on the MAC office's decision whether or not BG is the team to move to the East? After back to back years of BG and Toledo deciding the division crown on the field at the end of the season, could they even THINK of making it a crossover game in early October?
Of course, we need to kick Marshall and get some help from EMU first...
