Ok...I'm done venting

It is what it is...I'm really disappointed that we have such an unattractive home slate, but I'm not going to let ruin my evening. I'm simply going to get geared up for spring...maybe drop by a practice or two and check out the spring game and hope for the best in the fall.

MSU and EMU are within a close drive from my house....EMU's on a friday...let's tailgate in my driveway...it's 400ft long, why not? I'm like 25 minutes from Ypsi.

Time to put away the hatchet...I've been pretty personal in my criticisms over this situation and that isn't right. Results and unrealized expectations are fair game for comment...personal attacks aren't.

Apologies to anyone who has taken offense.

It's what the MAC should have said to Temple....

It's frustrating because we bent over backwards for Marshall and gave thenm ridiculous competitive advantages in the league and they were out of here inside of ten years...and they landed on probation again in the process.

I really don't like to see us sacrifice to appease limited members who bring NOTHING to the conference other than a media market that doesn't know if the team plays football or foosball.

We're the guys who have been here...Bowling Green, Miami, (cough) Toledo...the old guard made this conference. If anyone is getting cowtowed to it ought to be us, not some wannabe newcomer flavor of the month "football only" member.

As far as the events of the past 3 days, whatever, I'm over them. We got screwed on our scheduling, but there's nothing we can do but bitch. I've done my bitching, and now it's time to move on.

I couldn’t agree more. I can’t tell you how much I miss the not-so-long-ago days of the MAC when we played everyone in football and everyone twice (home-&-home) in basketball. Then, we started grabbing our ankles and added teams like UCF and Marshall that used us only to move on to “bigger and better things.” Then we pick up Temple for “football” only, don’t even get me started there. The thing that REALLY pissed me off was when the MAC moved BG from the East (where I loved us) to the West (couldn’t stand it). I was thrilled when they moved us back to the East. But I’ll tell you what, I will blow a gasket if they move us back to the West again in the future. If we’re adding another team to make 14 (which I think is ridiculous), I can only hope that the team is West of BG. Indiana, Illinois…..California! I don’t care, just leave BG alone. Honestly, I think the best fix for the MAC to balance the conference is this – drop Temple!!!!! It puts 6 in the East, 6 in the West, and no one is going to complain about it!
