Seriously? The whole team?Dayons_Den wrote:. . . CLASSSSSSS-E.
Marshall...classy...HA!
What did you expect...? Did you happen to catch the group of players that were taunting and bragging to our east bleacher fans after knocking McGrady out of the game?
Absolutely classless and uncalled for. There's nothing to celebrate when a player is down on the field with a head or neck injury, no matter if he's on your team, or your opponent's.

I'd say 3/4 of the team went straight for the locker rooms. No word on whether there were hooks or hangers for the coach's shirts. . .HuskieDan wrote:Seriously? The whole team?Dayons_Den wrote:. . . CLASSSSSSS-E.

Aw, that really makes me sad. As much as we are rivals of Miami, Toledo, and NIU, none of us are ever happy to see one of their players injured. And while our fans range from very classy to totally classless, I take pride that our football team always treats opposing teams with the respect that they may or may not deserve. USAToday even commented on our team's behavior:
The Falcons have apparently not only learned how to win, they have learned how to do it with class.
With Marshall's poor behavior on the field today, all I have to say is good riddance. We don't need classless teams like that in the MAC, regardless of ability.

I wonder if it had something to do with the band playing "Na na na na, na na na na, hey hey hey, good-bye!" I figured that out on the trumpet last game and brought it back for this one. A few people around me picked up on it and then the whole band was doing it for awhile! That was awesome and I could care less if their team doesn't shake hands. Probably against their probation anyways...Dayons_Den wrote: I'd say 3/4 of the team went straight for the locker rooms. No word on whether there were hooks or hangers for the coach's shirts. . .

in their defense(MAC best by arse!) there were a few guys that stayed and shook hands and acted respectable(or as respectable a turd player can) after the game.
The fact that maybe MAYBE 1/6 of the team went to one kneee when McGrady was out was just bad. Poor sportsmanship. GTFO marshall, and never come back.
How'd you all like the "leave our conference" chants me and the crew started? The players really enjoyed it I know.

If I were a Marshall player I probably would have been upset that we ran the ball from the 5 with 45 seconds to go. I would have stuck around and shook the BG guys' hands, but I wouldn't have been too happy about it. With that said, though, I am still mad that we didn't run a play with 15 seconds to go from the 2 yard line and score another 7 on them!! Hopefully we can pound them again in the GMAC Bowl next year.

I was actually hoping we would do this. It was great. F* Marshall. We humiliated them today, and they can only agree.McMetz811 wrote:I wonder if it had something to do with the band playing "Na na na na, na na na na, hey hey hey, good-bye!" Then how do you account for your fans screaming at ours in the stands while McGrady was being tended to? All I saw was several Marshall fans screaming and pointing at ours and then event staff breaking it up. Seems to me even if a BG fan said something about a dirty hit you should sit there and take your medicine when your team speared an opposing player into unconsciousness.....especially on the road.
