You have to be one of the FEW decent Herd fans to post anywhere. I am guessing you don't post on the MAC board, do you? Being that level headed and decent will get you kicked off by the Herd Nation over there!! Thanks for coming in here and being so gracious. It's appreciated. I wish you well in your new conference.
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

Yes I'm on HERDNATION, but not the MAC board. Unfortunately, all this board surfing is becoming the downfall of the GPA.. :?

Hey, I just figured--if I can come talk a little smack before the game, I can come back and at least hear it from you all.

Plus, this is one of most exciting boards in the MAC..tried to get a stir out of the Akron board but apparently they are lacking in the fan department.

bite it.

we all know there is a game to go, but who cares? our game with marshall is in the past, and unlike about 85% of internet users (including apparently a number of our own fans), GREEN found a spirited discussion before the game, and has come back gracious (?) in defeat.

Of course, once the UT fans start trickling in, all stroking is off!

FWIW, I ran into a Marshall fan prior to the game who came up to me after seeing my headphones around my neck and asked me what stations he could tune into the game... very nice guy...came from KANSAS CITY to see the game, though he did say he had some business in Indiana to take care of, so the BG trip wasn't that much extra for him.

I enjoy talking with good fans from other schools... perhaps the best groups of fans I've met at away games were at Penn St., where we invited to tailgate with them before and AFTER the game... and Kentucky, where a fan came up to me after BG had beaten them, offered his hand and said, "Y'all shamed us!" It's the fun part of college football that I think can be lacking when you run into the "idiots" and they are on MANY campuses, including BG's, sad to say... The two goofs who raided our tent, and got Blitzed (but not by a LB), are perfect examples of this. :?

We had a few Herd fans stop by the tent and we fed them, like the gracious fans we are :) They did seem to have all their teeth as well! I talked to them a little bit and the consensus was they're leaving for the extra bowl bids, and I cannot blame them. They're going from a conference with 2 bids and 5 worthy teams to a conference with 5 bids and 2 worthy teams. Makes sense to me!

Oh wow, Marshall fans had teeth.

Thats ignorance talking! One thing I can't stand is the stereotypes. I guess you will be really shocked when I tell you that my brother and I will be graduating in May from Marshall. My parents also have undergraduate and masters degrees from Marshall. My grandpa graduated from Marshall as well. Oh my gosh..there are educated people in Huntington, WV.

He's right.

Teeth jokes are lame. Even if there was some truth to the stereotype, people with bad teeth are just... poor. Making fun of poor people isn't cool.
