It's hard to put a dollar amount on it... the cost of hosting, domain registration and the like is easy to quantify, but I don't keep track of the hours I put in with photos, new user registrations, updates, clean-ups, etc...

My hosting plan alone costs $29.97 a month when I pay a year in advance (roughly $360/year). It's a semi-dedicated account which means we don't share the server with 500 other clients... just a handful and all the processes of this website are independent and isolated.

I do appreciate the support. I'm humbled by it... never like asking for it, but it certainly helps!!

Thanks to everyone who has donated thus far. Please, don't stop if you feel the urge. If it's more than what it takes to run the site, I'm sending it to my charities.

FYI, here's what I sent to the V Foundation tonight:

In Memory of Howard D. Cummings

Howard was my dad. He was a huge fan of college basketball and died on 4/27/2001. Because of him, I run www.ay-ziggy-zoomba.com and recently, I received donations in excess of what it takes me to run the site. I want to donate the excess to the V Foundation in honor of my dad who died from colon cancer with mets to the liver.

Got another $25 via PayPal and then 2 checks in the mail totalling $70. So that means we add another $95 to the $190 we had a week ago, bringing the total to $285!

Thanks everyone!! Like I said, I'm banking some extra in the PayPal account for unexpected expenses, but I'm going to be sending more off to charity as well. Or, if you want the deduction, send it yourself and just let me know about it!! Thanks to those of you who have already done that, or in a couple of cases, sent in $20 and sent a matching gift to a charity. VERY COOL!!

Just to give this a quick bounce and get an update from Ziggy.

As of this past Tuesday - we have raised $285.00 in contributions to help Ziggy cover the costs of runing the site.

So G-man, Where do we stand at the end of two weeks?
