I am suprised you guys have such a swagger back... good for you!

Maybe next time you visit the Linc you can bring more then a 100 fans... again amazing to see fans who got by the minimumn attendance requirements by the skin of their teeth being so proud.

look at this bowling green support!!!

Anyone remember last year's spread? I do, it was BG by 20.5 and I remember wanting to mortgage the house I don't have so I could bet Temple in that game.

Obviously we've made great strides since then, but three TD's is a bit on the high side. Like someone said early on, Vegas makes these lines because they feel it will be an even distribution of betting, not what's actually going to happen every time. Still, I wouldn't bet this game because BG really could come out firing.

Hmmm...last year was our worst season since the turn of the century, we were definitely among the bottom 15 or so teams in the country last year.

Temple was among the bottom 5 or so teams in the country.

I cannot imagine why more people wouldn't want to make the 8 1/2 hour drive to watch that premiere matchup.

We have our swagger back because we look to have found a QB to go along with a young team that has grown up a lot in the last year. Attendance has nothing to do with the quality of our football team, so I really have no clue what your point even is. I do know that you're still Temple and you just lost to Buffalo by 5 TDs. I have every expectation that our boys will come out and put Temple right back where they belong...licking their wounds on the bus trip back to Philly.

I guess thats why we play the game...

Its a shame that you don't have support for such a great program. Maybe a few giveaways at the Local Marc's grocery or McDonalds will help.

It think its great Temple was able to put so many fans in the seats for the game against a bottom 15 team. Coming off your BCS win, a renovated stadium, and a home coming game, I sure hope you guys top 20k this weekend.... good luck!

Will you be in BG for the game? We're making the trek from Philly for this one.

No i won't be. I have a 18 month old daughter, and while we went to buffalo last year ,we have had some devestating medical news. I have family all around cleveland (including a brother who works for FOX in cleveland) and had wanted to attend one ohio MAC game a year. Along with cousins who graduated from BGSU. This year a trip out is not going to happen.

I honestly wish BG at its fans a great season and hope you return to the glory days. Hopefully Temple raises its game and quality and in the coming years we see tight games and a MAC rivalry that sends crowds from both schools back and forth down I-80. Furthermore a loss to Temple in the coming years will be one that is seen as one that allows all of you to head to work the next week with your heads held high.

Good luck and have a great year!

Sorry if my first post was abrasive...I think I misunderstood your tone of your original post.

I was not in favor of adding Temple to the MAC, but now that they are a member, I too hope they raise their game. There is no reason why they cannot compete in this conference if they get their act together.

I would love to take in a Temple game sometime, just because I've never been to Philly. We fat guys do like Cheese Steaks :)

Allow me to explain that one at the Linc a little. TU had gotten blasted the week before at Toledo. There was quite a bit of dissension among staff, players and administrators. Then boarding the team plane back to Philly an argument ensued between our AD and one of our most renown former players who was also a sideline analyst. The same analyst who the year before had been captured saying the Head Coach needed to get some some balls into an open microphone. To make a long story short, the analyst was kicked off the plane while it was on the runway. The analyst was very respected and it caused a further rift among many people associated with Temple FB.

Fast forward to the BGSU game, Temple got a turnover and our offense moped onto the field w/ the same enthusiasm TU had practiced with all week.....none. We went 3 and out then kicked a FG to take a 3-0 lead in a game we would lose 70-16. I was told our offense was capable of executing less than a dozen plays and was not prepared to audible out of any. If you stopped our QB Keeper, you pretty much stopped Temple offense.

I dont offer any excuse for the next 70 pt ass kickin other than those days are over and former HC Bobby Wallace is a 1,000 miles away from our FB Program.

Well your corners played soft and were slow, your interior was even slower. You had no penetration on D and were picked apart very easily....and when you did get presure, our QB ran past them. that is how you lost that game...you had no D.

Anybody notice how we had a huge lead, and then we put in back-ups and let them cover the spread? I was so disappointed, because we could have easily kept it at 48-21 and won by 27. 21 point favorites? If we kept playing in the 4th, we could have won by 30+!!!

And it would have been a bit rude.

Whatever. Maybe we sneak up on teams this way.

This post makes me sad on so many levels.
