They gave out ThunderStix at a hockey game last year, so I don't know about the rule applying to only indoor events, either.

FWIW, wooden clapping hands include the clapper that the birds used to have. A certain assistant AD told us we couldn't use it in AA at one game...

They have handed them out at the hockey games, and on more than one occasion, too!
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

I would like to go on record and offically say that I HATE thunderstix! I find them annoying and a destraction. Of course, according to the ref's at the Eastern game, I'm a distraction (I'm in the band). If you have them, great, use them. I'm not telling anyone not to use them. I personally just don't like them.
