From the 2003 Motor City Bowl

Post by Bleeding Orange »

Found this in the "5 Thoughts" on CFN's bowl predictions:

5. So where does Bowling Green go from here?
Can Omar Jacobs take over the quarterbacking duties from Josh Harris? Jacobs is a big mobile player with fantastic upside, but it's asking a lot to be Harris. He'll have some fantastic receivers to throw to with top three receivers Cole Magner, Charles Sharon and James Hawkins returning. P.J. Pope and B.j. Lane return to give the Falcons a great running game, but they'll have to operate behind a virtually brand new line. The defensive front seven will be tremendous, but the secondary takes some huge hits headed by the loss of CB Janssen Patton.

Well, I guess we've answered those questions!

Incedentally, where did they get that we would be starting behind a 'virtually brand new line?' I was under the impression that only one starter graduated laster on the line. Perhaps I was just half-asleep for a few months?

Jimmy Williams and Robert Haley graduated after 2003. We had 3 returning starters.
