I think WKU is a pretty good team, probably a better team than Temple based on what we've seen so far this season. I think their defense might give our offense some fits, especially early on in the game, but we put them away in the second half like we did Temple. What I'm afraid of is that we might look past WKU and come out completely and utterly flat. I've seen it happen so many times in my short time at BGSU. As long as that doesn't happen, the Falcons win it.

Western Kentucky 20
Bowling Green 35

Season predictions - (3-0)
24. Quality provider of the truth, for better or for worse.

This game strikes me as dangerous. Non-league game sandwiched between the home opener and BC. It just feels odd this week.

But hey, the Falcons wouldn't dare lose on my birthday. I'll go with 31-21, good guys. A late pick-6 seals it.

this game needs to be full throtle in order build to the dynamic moving into the BC game.
if this game is not 44+ BG to 17 or less will are going to be in trouble. the team needs to just execute and play their best, and look to improve in some specific areas.

31-21

Why? Don't really know without looking to see if Bodog.com offers a spread. But for some reason the "not as close as the final score indicated" theme carries over to this weekend.
I lowered the BG score cause you can't count on 2 Defensive TD's each week, but I don't expect to a.) give the ball up in our territory b.) make as many penalties and c.)give up 2 TD's as CoachB gets more playing time out to the ranks.

It's very inappropriate, and I've asked him to change it.

That said, a small part of me is very entertained. After all, with every post, MACMAN announces to the world: "Hi. Pleased to meet you. I'm George Bush's BASE."

It's like Lil' Bush, but much funnier.

Then George Bush's base makes no sense. Not that this necessarily comes as a surprise but, HUH? What the heck does any of that mean? I suspect George would disassociate as fast as possible from this base.

I think Western Kentucky will give us a tougher game than Temple. I like their coach and their offense is pretty good. But the Falcons will a) not kick 2 field goals, including one inside the 10. b) Tyler will not throw 2 ints. c) we will score on our first drive this week. something we have been great at over the years.

I think BG will win this game. With all the upsets happening in college ball these days, or near upsets, BG needs to focus on what we do well and do it. The D, IF it plays 60 min like the second half of Temple, we'll be fine. DO NOT take WKU lightly...they are a team capable of beating us if we don't execute and make mistakes.

BiG homecoming crowd of 20K+ treated to a win as the players are jacked up to play under the lights on the new turf...

BGSU 38, WKU 17.
